About The Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service & Sales Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast and friendly service. Assist customers with product suggestions, special orders, and food preparation ideas. Answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately; resolve customer complaints and escalate to Store Director as needed. Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques via telephone, intercom, and one-on-one interactions. Product Preparation & Presentation Implement proper and efficient product preparation and packaging techniques. Assist with all department duties including preparation, baking, decorating, and product display. Maintain bakery case cleanliness, visual appeal, and inventory levels. Ensure proper cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of bakery area and equipment. Monitor and maintain correct temperatures during preparation, display, and storage. Inventory & Stock Management Control inventory to ensure adequate quantity, quality, and freshness. Stock and rotate products; maintain and organize cooler. Build displays, rotate stock, and discard outdated or spoiled products. Ensure proper code dating for all products within the department. Operations & Compliance Understand and follow opening and closing department procedures. Implement effective promotional and seasonal displays. Follow company policies and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Maintain department standards and adhere to temperature and storage guidelines. Administrative & Reporting Prepare sales and inventory reports; assist with physical inventory every 4 weeks. Complete and monitor daily log sheets, production charts, sales and labor reports, and other required paperwork. Process administrative paperwork and maintain accurate department records. Control shrink and cost. Team Leadership Assist with scheduling, supervising, training, and assigning duties to department employees. Ensure adequate coverage and service levels. Communicate sales goals, department performance, and opportunities to team members. May attend and participate in sales meetings. Receiving & Quality Control Perform receiving duties including breaking down loads, verifying orders, inspecting quality, reporting shortages, and stocking products. Adhere to proper packaging techniques and product temperature guidelines.
