About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Bakery Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair bakery equipment and facilities. This role is essential to ensuring smooth daily operations, food safety compliance, and a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience (bakery, food production, or industrial setting preferred)
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Nice To Haves
- Experience with commercial bakery or food-service equipment
- HVAC or refrigeration knowledge
- Preventive maintenance certification or technical training
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bakery equipment (ovens, mixers, proofers, refrigeration, etc.)
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing issues
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and food sanitation standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
- Coordinate with management and external service providers when needed
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues during operating hours
