About The Position

Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. As a Merchandiser, you will build and maintain big, beautiful displays to promote products, attract customers, and assist the department in meeting sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities

• Take a product inventory to determine quantity needed
• Remove any expired or damaged products
• Package and label products
• Maintain proper rotation for perishable food items
• Ensure proper signage is posted and visible
• Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Assist in other duties, as assigned
