About The Position

The position involves performing essential duties with accuracy and maintaining a high level of productivity. The individual will be responsible for developing customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior, promoting morale within the department and store, and complying with company policies. Continuous personal and team development through training and education is expected. The role includes pricing, dating, and wrapping or bagging bakery products, recognizing product quality, and merchandising displays effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
  • Promote a high level of morale within department and store through honest and open communication.
  • Comply with all company policies, programs, and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
  • Strive to build knowledge and skills through training and education of self and team members.
  • Price, date, and wrap or bag all bakery products according to department and store policies.
  • Recognize quality and distinguish between different bakery products.
  • Fill, arrange, rotate, and merchandise displays and display cases within the Bakery Department.
  • Price and code date all bakery products clearly and accurately.
  • Receive special orders properly and use suggestive selling methods.
  • Maintain attractive and appealing cases and displays for increased sales.
  • Maintain product quality and cost control to maximize sales and profits and minimize losses.
  • Possess knowledge of bakery items, descriptions, and ingredients to better serve guests.
