Walters Wedding Estates, a Walters Hospitality brand, is actively seeking professional, self-motivated, skilled cake decorators to create dream wedding cakes for our Brides in a fun working environment. This person can adapt and learn quickly. This position will be hourly, working between 3-5 days a week depending on wedding season busyness. Job Overview and Requirements: Location: Houston, TX Job Hours: Part-Time, Hourly with the opportunity for advancement (Must be available weekends for deliveries.) Pay: $16-$18 per hour

Requirements

Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent, culinary degree preferred
Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of cake decorating experience
Certifications: ServSafe Food Handlers or equivalent
Physical Requirements: Able to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs.
Other: Must be eligible to work in the United States; Walters Hospitality participates in E-Verify Submit/complete background check; have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Responsible for baking cakes, desserts and cake decorating.
Must be familiar with basic textures such as stone, horizontal, stucco, wedding dots and palette.
Must have a working knowledge of food coloring, fondant, edible images, and cake design.
