To prepare baked goods for the resort's food and beverage outlets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Possess a solid background in breads, pastries, cakes and sauces with the knowledge of cake decorating techniques including wedding cakes. 2. Handle knives excellently and operate all kitchen equipment in a safe, efficient and effective manner. 3. Be able to work with others well in a close environment with a learning attitude possessing speed and efficiency. 4. Be able to assume control of the kitchen in the absence of a Sous Chef. 5. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. 6. Follow the kitchen chain of command (i.e. Chefs, Cook I, Cook II, Cook III). 7. Take an active role in the training of new cooks. 8. Duties will range from creative to redundant with large volume baking on a daily basis. 9. Perform other duties as required.
