About The Position

Coons Franklin Lodge is thrilled to announce an opening for a Baker for the 2026 summer season! Our historic lodge, located on the scenic Trout Lake, has been a cherished retreat since 1892, offering guests engaging outdoor activities and a delightful culinary experience. As a Baker, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, responsible for creating a variety of fresh, delicious baked goods that enhance our guests' dining experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to whip up everything from artisan bread and pastries to sweet treats that will delight families and guests alike. The Lodge is committed to providing memorable dining experiences, making this position perfect for someone passionate about baking and eager to showcase their skills in a vibrant environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and the ability to produce a wide range of baked products.
  • Creativity and a passion for baking with an eye for presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to our menu specifications.
  • Assist with the creation of daily specials and seasonal items to enhance our offerings.
  • Ensure all baked goods are of high quality, both in taste and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized baking station, following proper food safety guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering ingredients as needed.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to incorporate baked items into meals and events throughout the summer.

  • Staff can join in our guest Yoga class In the Lodge, Tuesdays at 10am. You must pre-register with Emily or Sarah due to limited spots available.
