About The Position

Full Steam Staffing is now hiring a Baker in Fairfield, CA - Apply now! Job Title : Baker Pay Rate: $18/hr. Shift : 1st and 2nd Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL Duties & Responsibilities ? Understands, reads and executes the production schedule. ? Sets bake program, including bake time, wires, oven speed, oven dwell time, temperature and moisture, for the products based on the recipes according to the product specifications Continually monitors bake texture, color and quality of products while exiting oven and fryer to ensure they meet specifications. ? Accurately records information on production documents, including but not limited to oven control setting and baker sheets in a timely fashion and places completed documents in their designated place. ? Report mal-functioning equipment to supervisor ? Comprehends and adheres to operational and safety features of mixers, heads, belts, ovens and fryers ? Completes duties in accordance with quality assurance, GMPs, safety and other company programs and procedures in accordance with government codes and regulations Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area, including equipment, tools, scoops, and containers; sweeping floors as needed, and trash removal ? Ensures cutting units are in their proper place. ? Maintains an accurate count of blades and documents as required ? Works to maintain and improve on the quality, legality and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture ? Understanding and conscious of allergy program and processes ? Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately Key Responsibilities ? Production Execution: Interprets and executes the daily production schedule, ensuring products are made on time. ? Equipment Operation: Operates commercial-grade mixers, sheeters/heads, conveyors, ovens, and fryers. ? Process Control: Sets and monitors baking parameters, including temperature, bake time, wire settings, conveyor speed, and moisture levels. ? Quality Control: Continuously monitors product texture, color, and appearance as they exit the oven/fryer to ensure they meet quality standards. ? Documentation: Records accurate production data, including oven settings and baker sheets. ? Safety & Sanitation: Maintains a clean, safe, and audit-ready work area, following all allergen control and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Requirements ? Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English. ? Experience: Previous experience in food manufacturing, production, or baking is preferred. ? Skills: Ability to operate production machinery, basic mathematical skills for measurements, and the ability to read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). ? Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. ? Environment: Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and in hot conditions near ovens/fryers. Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, production, or baking is preferred.
  • Ability to operate production machinery, basic mathematical skills for measurements, and the ability to read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and in hot conditions near ovens/fryers.
