About The Position

Job Responsibilities Ability to read and follow recipes to prepare baked goods, breads and sauces from scratch Measure and combine ingredients and use mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as cookies, bread, cakes, etc. Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls. Thoroughly clean stations and equipment after using. Strictly follow food safety, sanitization and segregation when preparing all products. Package baked goods, breads and sauces to be distributed to our cafes. Work with management to order products when needed. Clean and restock workstations and ensure that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift. Rotate and stock products received from vendors. Clean and shut down your station when finished.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional kitchen experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.
  • Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create amazing baked goods.
  • Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.
  • Ability to work in a hot, hectic environment, stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Must be reliable, punctual and report to work on time.
  • Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
