The Bakery/Packager associate prepares fresh baked items daily for members by following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise. Responsibilities

  • Prepare fresh baked items daily for members through following recipes.
  • Wrap, label, and store merchandise to ensure the freshest items are available.
  • Juggling several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders.
  • Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting and thanking members.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
  • Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team.
  • Communicate with the members of the team and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
  • Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes, makeup instructions, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management.
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Utilize hand held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind.
  • Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items.
  • Secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
  • Eliminate waste.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Be an advocate for the department and the club by valuing the members experience in bakery area and modeling high quality service and products.
