About The Position

The Baker 1 position at King's Hawaiian involves the production of various bakery products under the guidance of the Production Manager and Head Baker. This role emphasizes adherence to culinary, production, and quality standards while ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Baker 1 is responsible for utilizing bakery equipment effectively to prepare and bake items such as breads, cookies, and pastries, while also managing inventory and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate preferred.
• Basic English speaking and understanding skills.
• Logical reasoning ability.
• Ability to work assigned schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a time-constrained environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally, 25lbs frequently, and 10lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Assist Production Manager and Head Baker in creating baked goods by following recipes and product directions.
• Mix and deposit batters into pans for baking.
• Operate baking machinery to produce baked goods.
• Remove finished products from pans and prepare orders for customers.
• Manage baked and unbaked inventories, tracking expiration dates.
• Roll, cut, and bake cookie dough; slice and bag loaves of bread and rolls.
• Create pastry dough and coffee cake make-up.
• Regulate oven drafts and temperatures, placing and removing products as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food storage areas and baking utensils.
