About The Position

We are hiring immediately for full time and part time BAKER positions at Stetson University. The position involves preparing baked goods according to recipes and production specifications. Responsibilities include baking breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries, ensuring proper food preparation, maintaining sanitation, and interacting with customers. The job requires some previous experience and offers competitive wages ranging from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets.
• Assist in production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards.
• Complete production records including waste tracking and product shortages.
• Maintain proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Handle food items appropriately and follow safety regulations during preparation and service.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner.
• Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
• Exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently.
• Check to ensure all food is presented and served per standards.
• Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
• Complete shift work in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
