About The Position

We are hiring immediately for a Full and Part Time BAKER position at Arkansas Tech University. The position involves preparing baked goods according to recipes and production specifications. The job requires previous baker experience and offers both full-time and part-time schedules with open availability preferred. The pay range is $14.50 to $16.00 per hour. Responsibilities

• Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets.
• Assist in production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards.
• Complete production records including waste tracking and product shortages.
• Maintain proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils within the work area.
• Handle food items appropriately and with safety regulations in mind.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner.
• Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
• Exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently.
• Check to ensure all food is presented and served per standards.
• Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
• Complete shift work in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
