About The Position

This position is for a Baker/Apprentice responsible for various tasks within a bakery setting. Key duties include maintaining product displays, preparing baked goods under supervision, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health standards, and handling administrative tasks like updating prices and preparing invoices. The role requires working a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and reporting to the store manager.

Requirements

• Ability to read at an eighth-grade level.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisions)
• Ability to write notes, instructions, orders, invoices and descriptions of cake orders.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Update the labels and the product prices.
• Clean the work area and bakery equipment.
• Keep the display cases clean and full of product.
• Place the right products in the display cases.
• Prepare the baking oven under supervision.
• Use equipment (mixers, fryers, etc.) under supervision.
• Make bolillo, Conchas, cookies and donuts under supervision.
• Put the finishing touches on the bread (sugar, icing, decorations, etc.)
• Follow health standards.
• Prepare invoices.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Keep the work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards.
• Report faulty equipment and hazards to management.
• PERFORM ANY OTHER TASK ASSIGNED BY THE STORE MANAGER
