About The Position

The Bait & Tackle Crew is front-line staff for the overall guest experience of Lake Gregory. They are
responsible for the day to day Bait & Tackle shop operations, rentals, and cleaning and maintaining
public spaces, all with a focus on excellent customer service and hospitality.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred
• General knowledge of fishing and CA fishing regulations
• Excellent character as demonstrated by work values
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Agreement with Lake Gregory mission-vision-values
• Compliance with employee handbook
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds & walk and carry over uneven terrain
• Ability to work in inclement weather including heat, rain, snow, and ice

Responsibilities

• Rent and maintain equipment such as kayaks, row boats, and fishing poles.
• Maintain general cleanliness of the Bait & Tackle restrooms, dock, shop, & vessels.
• Use the cash register and follow all cash handling procedures accurately.
• Greet and assist guests, answering questions about the park, fishing, rules and regulations, and the greater Crestline area.
• Recommend and sell bait, tackle, other fishing equipment, and various snacks and other merchandise.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on fishing equipment and vessels.
• Assists with ordering bait and tackle supplies and communicates with vendors as needed.
• Safe operation of various minor equipment and tools.
• Groundskeeping inside and outside of Bait & Tackle shop.
• Assist guests with fishing equipment and techniques.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
