About The Position

Step into a leadership role with Pure Fishing as a Bait Production Supervisor on 2nd shift. In this hands-on position, you’ll guide, develop, and motivate a team of hourly coworkers while driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • A passion for continuous improvement and team development
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience, preferably in a multi-operation manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership to coworkers on the assigned shift, consistent with Pure Fishing principles, while maintaining strong visibility and accessibility on the floor.
  • Promote a culture of safety by leading safety awareness efforts and implementing techniques to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate time and attendance records daily.
  • Communicate equipment issues, production concerns, and shift updates to the incoming supervisor during shift handoff.
  • Support continuous process improvement and waste reduction initiatives aligned with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Facilitate and actively participate in improvement projects within the manufacturing area.
  • Train and develop the production team to meet customer demand and support Lean initiatives.
  • Coach employees for performance, career growth, and talent development. Address performance concerns proactively in alignment with Pure Fishing policies and principles and conduct performance evaluations as required.
  • Ensure adherence to standard work documentation and ISO program requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with product quality standards.
  • Coordinate personnel resources across departments to optimize production flow and customer needs.
  • Complete first reports of injury promptly and thoroughly investigate workplace accidents or illnesses on the assigned shift.
  • Collaborate with other production leaders to resolve daily production challenges related to materials, delivery, quality, and employee performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
