About The Position

This position is responsible for: Operates a baler machine to secure, package and bind large volumes of clothing. Loads and unloads trucks performing lifting of heavy objects on a regular basis; assists in maintaining the neatness and orderliness of the warehouse area.

Requirements

Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 pounds) materials, supplies, and equipment frequently.
Ability to lift heavy (50-100 pounds) materials, supplies, and equipment occasionally.
Work requires continued walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
No formal education or experience is required although some experience operating heavy equipment and performing heavy lifting is preferred; forklift training; baler machine training.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Operates a baler machine to secure, package and bind large volumes of clothing.
Loads and unloads trucks of donated items being delivered to the warehouse.
Recycles cardboard boxes and cuts cardboard for use with the baler machine.
Loads and fluffs clothes in the baler machine to ensure a solid bale of clothing with wire.
Assists in maintaining the neatness and orderliness of the warehouse area.
