About The Position

This position is for a Bagger working nights, responsible for bagging tenders and grading them for weight and defects. Key duties include attaching and holding bags for product, placing filled bags on a conveyor, and visually and manually inspecting product to ensure it meets weight specifications and is free of defects. The role also involves active participation as a team member, contributing to team development, communication, and policy implementation, and ensuring best practices. The Bagger is expected to be familiar with Simmons’ operating systems, including quality, security, and company policies, and to identify and communicate any concerns or improvement ideas. This role requires performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak and understand basic English.
• Must be reliable in work attendance.
• Must be attentive to detail to ensure proper weight and quality of product.

Responsibilities

• Attach bags to the line and hold them open as product falls in.
• Place filled bags on a moving conveyor once they reach a set weight.
• Visually and manually inspect tenders to ensure they meet proper weight specifications and are free of defects, setting aside non-standard product.
• Participate as a member of the team, contributing to development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies.
• Coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members and attend appropriate team meetings.
• Foster strong cohesiveness within the team, identify areas lacking cohesiveness, and work with the team leader to resolve issues and achieve synergy.
• Maintain familiarity with Simmons’ established operating systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies) and understand the role in supporting these systems.
• Communicate concerns and improvement ideas regarding operating systems.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
