We’re looking for dedicated Bagel Baker to craft our signature, freshly baked bagels to the highest quality standards while maintaining the utmost regard for health and safety regulations. A key role in delivering exceptional hospitality, our Bagel Bakers ensure that every batch meets Chompie’s standards for taste, texture, and presentation, delighting our guests with authentic, handcrafted bagels.

Requirements

Knowledge of baking techniques and food safety procedures.
Ability to work early morning shifts, with a shift start of 3 am, in a fast-paced environment.
Must be capable of lifting 30-50 lbs.
Must be able to operate heavy machinery, including a rotating bagel oven, boiler, and mixer.
Must be able to operate a rotating slicer.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a bakery or commercial kitchen preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare, mix, and bake bagels according to Chompie’s signature recipes and quality standards.
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistency and perfection.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofing machines.
Work efficiently to ensure bagels are ready for morning service and throughout the day as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to support overall restaurant operations.
Uphold Chompie’s commitment to quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction.
