About The Position

GREAT OPPORTUNITY at MI Windows and Doors - Gratz Shipping position - backup for Yard Jockey 3rd Shift - ( Sunday pm - Thursday pm - 9pm - 5:30am ) Pay rate - $22.65 per hour + $1.50 Shift Differential! General Purpose: Typical Duties and Responsibilities: • Loads and unloads trucks when not moving trailers in and out of docks. • Must have yard jockey test before they are able to operate solo. • Properly moving trailers on our property • Performing any load status yard checks as required by facility. • Visually completing safety and road worthiness of trailers on our property. • Red tag trailers, if needed. • Must obey any and all applicable traffic laws and facility procedures. • Yearly MVR background checks. • Participating in continuous improvement processes. • Maintain an effective Preventative Maintenance Inspections. • Very physical and fast-paced work environment while remaining focused on safety at all times. General Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities: • Must possess a valid PA driver’s license. • Previous yard jockey experience is a plus. • Must be comfortable in working in all weather conditions. • You must be available to work overtime and weekends if needed. • Must be willing to work loading/unloading trucks in the shipping department when not moving. • Safe driving record is required. • Must have good people skills when communicating with fellow team members and drivers. • Capability to stand and move frequently while performing repetitive assembly tasks. • Possess a collaborative, team-driven attitude. Team members rely on each other to complete required tasks in order to meet daily and weekly production schedules, and as a result a good attendance record and a team focus is critical. • Be quality and precision-driven, and able to follow all quality and safety requirements. • Have a customer service mentality and a strong desire to meet daily production goals so the organization can meet and exceed customer expectations. • Show strong reasoning and creative problem-solving skills to overcome production challenges. • Previous experience in a team environment. Requirements
