Backup Section Leader - MFG

The Backup Section Leader at Aveva Drug Delivery Systems Inc. plays a crucial role in the Manufacturing department by assisting the Section Leader in providing daily leadership to employees. This position is essential for ensuring safety and quality while maximizing productivity and efficiency in a cleanroom environment. The Backup Section Leader is responsible for planning and communicating daily production needs, which include material weighing, blending, and aseptic filling processes. In the absence of the Section Leader, this role takes on full leadership responsibilities, ensuring that all manufacturing processes are executed smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the Backup Section Leader will lead manufacturing teams in executing assigned job duties, which includes communicating overtime needs, training new hires, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Research and Development (R&D) on new processes. The position requires keeping the Section Leader and/or supervisor informed of any issues that arise during the shift, ensuring that all operations align with Batch Record manufacturing instructions and current labor standards. The Backup Section Leader will also be responsible for performing daily reviews of batch documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that all critical process parameters are monitored and documented during the manufacturing process. This role requires troubleshooting process and equipment problems independently and collaborating with other departments such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Technical Services to resolve issues effectively. Additionally, the Backup Section Leader will train new employees, ensure compliance with GMP/GDP standards, and promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in the manufacturing process, while also fostering a positive work environment for all team members.
