About The Position

In the Material Handler role, you are responsible for receiving and issuing raw materials, assemblies, sub‑assemblies, tools, and supplies, as well as forwarding all required documentation to computer services for data entry. You also support planners and buyers with material‑availability processes and prepare finished products and raw materials for boxing, packing, and shipping as needed. Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties. Use a variety of material handling equipment and hand tools to unload and load trucks arriving or leaving from receiving area and for placing material in the proper bin location or delivering material to the wok centers. Identify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production. Responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before shipping, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors. Cross train and stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary. Use supply chain tracking systems to maintain inventory Operate a forklift to move/load material and/or Gear Operate a Gantry style overhead crane for loading/shipment of Gear Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
  • 3 months of operating a powered industrial truck (forklift)
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Flexible with work hours and available for overtime as needed to support the organization.

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups within a team‑oriented environment.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle or feel objects and materials.
  • Frequently required to stoop and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to or exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color distinction.
  • Regular exposure to noise while performing job duties.
  • Frequent exposure to dust in the work area.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 months of industrial manufacturing experience
  • 3 months of experience using hand and pneumatic (air) tools
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
