About The Position

As a Backend Platform Engineer at Rox, you’ll be at the center of building intelligent, agentic workflows that redefine how the world’s top revenue teams operate. You’ll work across the full lifecycle of AI-driven product development, from training and evaluating models to integrating them into user-facing systems. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and customers to iterate quickly, ship impactful features, and continuously improve the intelligence and reliability of our agent swarm. You’ll be responsible for designing multi-step workflows, applying cutting-edge LLM research in production, and driving the experimentation and evaluation loop for AI-powered features, all in a fast-moving, product-focused environment.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of work experience; having built and scaled platform systems is a plus
  • Tech stack: Python, Flask, AWS
  • Understanding of LLM models and/or deep understanding of services in multiple clouds is a plus
  • Be located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco

Responsibilities

  • Ability to do E2E design and implement scalable systems independently, define/understand requirements and write clean code
  • Engage closely with customers to understand requests, join customer calls and ship out solutions working closely with product and AI engineers
  • Understanding of data storage systems (Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, Snowflake, S3)
  • Understanding of queuing / streaming systems (SQS, Kafka, Spark)
  • Be obsessed about operations and strive to ensure that there is minimal to no downtime or impact to the customer
  • Ability to work and ship in a fast paced environment with weekly deliverables; has founder-energy to work with as minimal direction as possible
  • Curious to learn, work hard and have a growth mindset
