About The Position

We’re hiring on behalf of dub , a rapidly scaling fintech startup building a high-performance platform that powers millions of API transactions. Requirements

• 2–5 years of backend engineering experience at high-growth startups
• Experience designing and scaling microservices and distributed systems in cloud environments
• Comfortable working in both Python and C#, with willingness to support and evolve legacy systems
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure tools like Kubernetes, Kafka, and AWS
• Familiar with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or CloudWatch
• Strong fundamentals in API design, data consistency, and performance optimization
• Fast learner who ramps up quickly — ideally shipping code to production in the first week
• Education from a top-tier university or participation in elite fellowships (Neo, VC fellowships)

Nice To Haves

• Past experience at fintech companies, brokerages, or B2B2C consumer platforms is a major plus
• Background working on trading or brokerage systems
• Former founder or early engineer with a bias toward action
• Interest or experience in financial data systems and infrastructure
• Passion for using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) in your development workflow

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Python and/or C#/.NET Core
• Work within a modern AWS environment (EKS, DynamoDB, Postgres, Kafka, Lambdas, SNS/SQS)
• Own critical components of our infrastructure and help scale them as usage grows
• Design robust REST and gRPC APIs supporting high-throughput, low-latency operations
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and data teams to ensure reliable data flows across services
• Navigate and evolve existing systems while contributing to our migration toward Python
• Deploy production code quickly — our team ships fast, and we expect you to have meaningful impact early
• Proactively anticipate scaling bottlenecks and design for reliability and observability
