About The Position

Coders Connect is partnering with one of New York’s fastest-growing AI start-ups to hire a Backend Engineer who thrives on building systems at scale. This company is pioneering a new product category—helping global brands understand and control how they show up in AI-driven search environments. If you’re a backend builder who wants to shape the infrastructure of a real-time, data-intensive platform, this one’s for you. As a Backend Engineer, you'll be designing the scalable APIs, data pipelines, and high-performance systems that power a cutting-edge analytics platform at the intersection of AI, data, and search visibility. You’ll work closely with front-end, data, and product teams to create the backend layer that makes fast, intelligent insights possible.

Requirements

Software engineering degree or related degree from a top USA University
Production experience with Node.js, Python, or Go.
Deep knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
Experience designing and optimizing data pipelines and working with distributed systems.
Solid understanding of API security, authentication, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.

Nice To Haves

Bonus: background working on analytics or data-heavy products at fast-scaling start-ups.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement backend systems that support real-time, AI-driven analytics.
Design and maintain APIs that handle large-scale structured and unstructured data.
Optimize data processing pipelines for speed, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and data scientists to ship features that matter.
Own key technical decisions and balance speed vs long-term maintainability.
Contribute to a fast-moving, product-first engineering culture.
