About The Position

We are seeking a Backend Developer to maintain and develop backend systems that support data-intensive and high-performance applications. The role involves implementing and maintaining APIs, managing PostgreSQL databases, and handling communication layers using technologies such as NATS, Docker, and Azure Cloud. The developer will operate across both Linux and Windows environments to ensure backend services remain stable, efficient, and secure within an in-house infrastructure. The ideal candidate has proven experience with Python, C# and SQL, working knowledge of React for interface integration, and practical familiarity with Azure environments and general system operations. This position requires a detail-oriented developer who can manage live systems, troubleshoot performance issues, and maintain reliable data flow and backend availability across connected services.

Requirements

4–6 years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development.
Proficiency in Python and C#, with practical experience in .NET / ASP.NET frameworks.
Solid experience managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases.
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
Understanding of time-series databases or large-volume data handling.
Experience deploying and maintaining services in Azure Cloud.
Familiarity with Docker and containerized application management.
Hands-on experience with message brokers such as NATS, MQTT, or similar systems.
Understanding of REST API concepts, authentication, and data exchange.
Competence in React for basic interface-level integration and troubleshooting.
Exposure to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Ability to write and maintain automation or maintenance scripts using Python or shell scripting.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with attention to reliability and performance.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a small technical team.
Effective communication, organization, and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Azure App Services, Key Vault, and Monitor for deployment and observability.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible.
Expertise in time-series databases or large-volume data handling.
Ability to collaborate with or support DevOps workflows.
Experience working with logging and monitoring tools such as Grafana or Prometheus.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and secure communication between services.
Background in industrial, engineering, or data acquisition systems is an asset.
Awareness of software security best practices and compliance standards.
Interest in process automation and improving backend reliability over time.

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance backend services supporting data-driven applications.
Implement and manage REST APIs and related backend integrations.
Administer and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including indexing and query performance.
Operate and troubleshoot services running on Linux and Windows environments.
Configure and maintain message brokers such as NATS for real-time data exchange.
Deploy, monitor, and support backend services within Azure Cloud infrastructure.
Write and maintain automation scripts using Python or shell scripting.
Collaborate with other developers to ensure stable operation and smooth data flow across systems.
Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics to prevent and resolve issues.
Follow established security, access control, and compliance practices in all backend operations.
