Backend / API Engineer, Internationalisation - Barcelona

This job is for a Backend Engineer at Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. • Experience in building software services and platforms
• Knowledge of reliable, scalable, secure, and extensible platforms
• Familiarity with future-proof interfaces that are easy to build against
• Strong technical decision-making skills and ability to lead technical conversations with other teams
• Proficiency in debugging production issues across services and levels of the stack

• Residence in Barcelona, Spain
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong product sense and emphasis on product quality
• Interest, passion, or love for language and understanding different cultures
• Experience in ensuring great user experience and ease of use
• Experience with financial product companies and interest in financial products and markets
• Served as the technical lead and defined the roadmap for complex projects spanning multiple teams and functions
