About The Position

Sauder Manufacturing Co. sells in four strategic markets: Healthcare Furniture for Acute Care Hospitals, Education Furniture for colleges and universities, Worship furniture for churches, synagogues, courthouses, and furniture for human services markets. The Product Assembly Associate IV will primarily assemble wooden furniture for houses of worship, higher education facilities, and healthcare facilities. This role also encompasses being the designated backup for the Production Leader in the cell or department.

Requirements

Attention to fine detail/ must be detail-oriented
Regular lifting and maneuvering and positioning of product up to 75 lbs.
Requires full shift of standing, walking, bending and lifting.
Able to read, write and follow instructions, both written and verbal.
Able to use handheld power tools with accuracy and precision.
Product Assembly experience required
A self-starting, goal-oriented, customer-focused individual who takes personal accountability and acts in accordance with the Company’s Values

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous Manufacturing Experience preferred
Leadership skills preferred

Responsibilities

Product Assembly of complex products
Framing wood components
Fabricating
Upholstering
Prep and subassembly work
Base assembly
Responsible for the quality of the end product
May be cross-trained on other general assembly jobs
Assist in training employees
Perform 5-S audits and daily cleaning
Ensure a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
