About The Position

Back Servers earn an hourly wage plus tip out. The role involves setting up the restaurant for service, including setting and cleaning dining room tables before, during, and after meal service. The Back Server assists servers in their tasks to ensure total guest satisfaction and performs various duties to maintain a clean and organized dining environment.

Requirements

• Education: High school.
• Must be sixteen years of age.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Sets up the restaurant for service.
• Sets and cleans dining room tables before, during and after meal service.
• Assists servers in their tasks to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Serves water as guests are seated.
• Assists in carrying food trays to tables.
• Removes soiled dishes from tables and takes them to the dish room.
• Removes soiled linen and replaces with clean linen.
• Cleans floors in the dining room and assures that floors are kept clean.
• Stocks servers' station with supplies.
• Collects trash from dining room, grill and other specified places after each serving period.
• Dusts chairs before and after meals.
• Keeps ice bins and buckets filled.
• Assures that soiled glassware is placed in proper racks.
• Maintains safety and security in work area.
• Folds napkins.
• Sets up water station and pitchers.
• Cleans and resets tables.
• Stocks the pantry with condiments and other needed supplies.
• Lifts and carries loaded trays, bus tubs and dish racks.
• Maintains tables.
• Handles soiled linen.
• Maintains side stations and performs closing side work and cleaning duties.
• Polishes and rolls silverware.
• Sets-up kitchen prior to dinner service.
