About The Position

The Back Room Processor at HomeGoods, a TJX Companies brand, is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. This role may involve cross-training to support various areas of the store. Key duties include accurately processing customer purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, upholding merchandising standards, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, participating in store recovery, and maintaining overall store cleanliness and organization. The position also requires supporting store shrink reduction goals and participating in safety awareness initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
  • Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
  • Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
  • Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and count change back to customer according to established operating procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs.
  • Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
  • Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
  • Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
  • Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
  • Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
  • Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
