About The Position

The Back Plant Operator is responsible for Dischargers (bottom ash/stoker ) , APC (Air Pollution Control equipment ) or crane operations . General tasks would include routine checks of equipment, troubleshoot equipment, and support Plant operations under the direction of the supervisor or control room.

Requirements

GED/HS Diploma preferred; Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
Experience operating forklift and skid steer preferred.
Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
Consistently work in various weather conditions
Shift Work : 5 shifts on, 2 shifts off, 2 shifts on, 5 shifts off, rotating 12-hour days/nights each month. 5 am and 5 pm start/end times.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating forklift and skid steer preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and fills out necessary log sheets according to procedures.
Monitor and maintain proper operation of Slakers, Dischargers, and Air Pollution Control equipment.
Manipulates crane controls such as pedals, levers, or buttons to regulate speed and direction of the crane and hoist movement
Perform general housekeeping of the work area or other areas of the plant; Clean conveyor spillage as needed.
Perform and document inspections of equipment to identify and report equipment malfunctions.
Perform or assist in preventive maintenance, as , including proper lock out tag out of these systems.
