About The Position

Housby is seeking a detail-oriented, energetic, and mechanically inclined professional to join our fast-paced Parts Department. The Back Parts Counter Representative is responsible for accurately identifying, sourcing, and issuing parts and accessories to internal customers in a timely and error-free manner. This role plays a critical part in supporting Service operations and ensuring an exceptional internal customer experience.

Requirements

• Knowledge of parts inventory systems and processes.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Ability to assess and interpret customer needs effectively.
• Forklift operation experience preferred; ability to operate safely required.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

• Prior heavy-duty truck parts experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with ADP Dealer System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with technicians and internal departments.
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
• Accurately identify, pull, and issue parts from inventory.
• Provide timely and accurate quotes, including pricing and availability, to internal customers.
• Maintain working knowledge of products, equipment, and services.
• Advise internal customers on part applications, features, and usage.
• Process parts orders, credits, and returns accurately.
• Inspect returned parts to determine warranty or defect status and facilitate exchanges or credits.
• Deliver parts to service bays as needed.
• Assist with restocking inventory and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• Participate in ongoing job-related training and professional development.
• Perform routine housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
