About The Position

Lexus of San Diego, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is looking for an experienced Back Parts Counter Representative to join our team and help deliver extraordinary customer experiences. The Back Parts Counter Representative is responsible for providing customer service and sales assistance in accordance with company policy. You will act as the primary interface with retail and wholesale customers as well as service department employees to sell the required parts and accessories.

Requirements

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• One year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Genuine interest in providing an exceptional customer experience.
• Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive 'team-player' attitude.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent.
• Two years related experience and/or training.
• Minimum of one year's experience working in the service drive or at an auto parts retailer or wholesaler.
• ASE Certification preferred but not required.
• i-Car Certification preferred but not required.
• Specific manufacturer's certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and sales assistance in accordance with company policy.
• Act as the primary interface with retail and wholesale customers.
• Sell required parts and accessories to customers and service department employees.
• Ensure Service Technicians have required parts readily available when needed.
• Maintain an unparalleled level of detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Focus on customer and Technician satisfaction while ensuring profitability.
• Set monthly and annual goals for the Parts Department with the Parts Manager and report on progress.
