About The Position

Space Age Fuel, Inc., a family-owned fuel distribution company, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Back Office Accountant to support daily accounting operations within our wholesale and retail fuel network. This role is ideal for an accounting individual with foundational experience who is ready to grow in a complex, fast-paced industry. Success in this position requires accuracy, strong time management, and personal accountability.

Requirements

• Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience required
• Working knowledge of accounting principles
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management and self-accountability
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Processing fuel deliveries to retail locations
• Matching and resolving vendor invoices to Bills of Lading (BOLs)
• Inventory balancing and investigation of variances
• Assisting with month-end tasks and special projects as assigned
• Maintaining organized and accurate financial documentation
