About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Back of House (BOH) Team Member to join our fast-paced kitchen team. As a BOH Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our kitchen, preparing high-quality food items, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Your attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to food safety standards will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our customers.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a fast food or restaurant kitchen is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a hot and noisy environment.
  • Manual dexterity to handle kitchen equipment and utensils safely.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food items are cooked and presented according to quality and portion control standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as grills, fryers, and ovens.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked properly.
  • Assemble orders accurately and promptly to meet customer demands.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and procedures, including proper handwashing, sanitation, and storage practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
  • Perform regular temperature checks on refrigerators, freezers, and cooking equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or issues to the Kitchen Manager.
  • Rotate stock and ensure FIFO and proper labeling to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate orders and special requests.
  • Assist in training new kitchen team members as needed.
  • Occasionally interact with customers to answer questions or handle special requests.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality food consistently.
