About The Position

Back of House Specialists are the foundation of our Reserve locations. As the BOH, you bring mastery, organization, and discipline to every element of our culinary preparation. You are responsible for crafting all prep with exacting precision, ensuring that every sauce, syrup, garnish, and component reflects Michelin-level execution. With a deep respect for recipe integrity, you transform raw ingredients into refined elements that elevate every beverage and dish we serve. Through consistency, focus, and technical excellence, you create the quiet magic behind the scenes that allows our baristas and culinary team to deliver an unparalleled Reserve experience. Your work is intentional, thoughtful, and essential setting the standard for excellence in every cup and every plate.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of professional kitchen experience; fine dining or Michelin-level experiencestrongly preferred
  • Strong mastery of prep execution, scaling, batching, and culinary techniques
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistency across all products
  • Ability to follow recipes with precision and discipline
  • High standards for cleanliness, organization, and mise en place
  • ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities

  • Execute all prep recipes with Michelin-level precision, discipline, and consistency.
  • Uphold complete mastery over all Reserve recipes, ingredients, and productiontechniques.
  • Measure, scale, and batch ingredients with exact accuracy—never deviating fromstandards.
  • Maintain impeccable organization, cleanliness, and labeling systems throughout all prepspaces.
  • Perform quality checks on flavors, textures, freshness, and consistency for every batchproduced.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and storage protocols, including FIFO and datelabeling.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of ingredient behavior, preparation methods, and desiredoutcomes.
  • Ensure prep levels support daily service needs and anticipate par levels with foresightand discipline.
  • Communicate ingredient shortages, equipment issues, or prep concerns proactively.
  • Operate all kitchen equipment safely and skillfully, including knives, mixers, immersionblenders, ovens, and more.
  • Support culinary and FOH teams during high-volume periods to ensure smooth serviceexecution.
  • Maintain a refined aesthetic in all prep organization—clean lines, intentional placement,and structured systems.
  • Protect the integrity of the Reserve program through discipline, consistency, andcraftsmanship.
  • Collaborate with leadership on new recipe rollouts, refinements, and training needs.
  • Uphold La La Reserve standards in every detail, ensuring each prepared component isworthy of the House.
