About The Position

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) has an opening for the position of Back End Developer (Ref# BED217PS). Work Location: Position may telecommute / work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Job Duties: Assist in back-end and full-stack development and the design, modifications, and coding of software product components, units, and modules according to detailed specifications. Work from models and diagrams to develop software code needed for the application. Assist with all phases of the software development lifecycle. Responsible for designing, writing, testing, and maintaining code for various applications, ensuring that they meet project specifications. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their programming needs and translate them into functional software. Assist with analyzing user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs. Design and develop unified claims management system to efficiently organize and process Medicare and Medicaid claims. Participate in the writing and updating of technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials. Participate in systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. Contribute to the detailed design phase (LLD) for data architecture, ensuring alignment with project objectives and scalability requirements. Troubleshoot problems and provide customer support for software operating system and application issues. Capture and manage workflow activities; report workload metrics; report status of administrative actions; and record outcomes or disposition of program integrity audit and investigative actions across Medicare & Medicaid / CMS (Center for Medicaid & Medicare Systems) programs. Develop functionality using .Net, C#, Python, Java, JEE, and RDBMS. Write Shell/Perl scripts to implement connectivity. Use of Java/JEE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JDBC, JPA, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, Node.js, RESTful API, C#, Git, Maven, Jenkins, Python, Jira, JUnit, Mockito, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Java Developer, Computer Programmer, or related experience
  • 1 year experience with Medicare & Medicaid / CMS programs, Java/JEE, Spring Boot, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, Node.js, and MySQL

Responsibilities
