About The Position

IIT8 USA Corporation, based in Austin, Texas, is part of MiddleGround Capital, a private equity firm headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky. Founded in 2004, IT8 began as a mechanical design and engineering office. Today, we deliver Body-in-White, warehouse automation, and industrial automation services across Europe, India, Mexico, Germany, and the United States. IT8 Engineering is expanding across the U.S. and seeking Back-end Developers to lead automation and engineering projects from planning to execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electronic engineering or related.
• 4-5 years of experience (mandatory) as Back-end developer.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Customer requirement and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Advanced level of English and Spanish (desired).
• Authorization to work in the United States. We accept TN Visa holders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with API development.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with GitLab.
• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Basic knowledge of Python.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and debugging: Be able to troubleshoot issues and resolve them, while communicating them to project managers, stakeholders, and QA teams.
• Database management and data storage: Designing and maintaining databases to store and manage data efficiently. This includes tasks such as creating database schemas, writing queries, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data integrity and security.
• API Development: Designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to allow communication between different parts of the application or with external systems.
• Integration and Third-Party Services: Integrating third-party services, libraries, or APIs into the application as needed.
• Software Architecture and System Design: Contribute to the definition and evolution of the software architecture, focusing on building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance systems.
