As a Back End Department Supervisor at Lowe's, you will be responsible for leading and enabling a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store. This includes coaching and training associates, delegating tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage. You will collaborate with frontend and backend operations associates to ensure items are adequately stocked and monitor the use of store power equipment while coaching employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques. Your role will impact Lowe's mission by planning, scheduling, monitoring, and implementing all nonselling operations in the back end of the store, facilitating the store's ability to provide a superior customer shopping experience and maximize sales and profitability. Additionally, you will conduct safety walks, report hazards, and train staff on safety and lifting requirements. You may also occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager on duty (MOD).
