About The Position

The Bachelor-Level Clinician is a key member of the multidisciplinary treatment team in the Adult Mental Health Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This role provides direct client care under the supervision of a licensed clinician for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. The clinician ensures timely coordination of services, assists in discharge planning, and contributes to creating a safe, therapeutic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in mental health, crisis intervention, or a related setting preferred.
  • CPR required, de-escalation training (e.g., CPI) preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to integrated care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness (SMI), substance use disorders (SUD), and co-occurring conditions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial behavioral health screenings and psychosocial assessments under supervision.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment and safety plans.
  • Provide supportive counseling, de-escalation, and crisis intervention using trauma-informed, person-centered approaches.
  • Monitor client behavior and participate in therapeutic activities and group sessions.
  • Document services provided in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with agency policy and licensing standards.
  • Coordinate with nurses, psychiatrists, peer support specialists, and case managers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in daily report and treatment team meetings.
  • Assist with discharge planning, including linking clients to outpatient services and community resources.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct.
  • Assist Supervisor with coordinating and processing client referrals to the program as well as client pre-orientation process, and client orientation process.
