Requirements

• Current enrollment in Bachelors Level program for Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health or Substance Abuse Counseling, or other related Health and Human Services field required
• Must be enrolled in the programs listed above and not already graduated from a degree program
• This internship experience must be a requirement of your degree in order to participate, as it is unpaid and for school credit hours only

Responsibilities

• Shadow Care Coordinator on visits with patients including home visits, phone contracts, ER visits, inpatient mental health visits, inpatient substance use visits, incarceration visits
• Assist with contacting clients currently in outreach to schedule appointments for intakes
• Explain qualifications of program and services offered to patients
• Assist Care Coordinators in linkage and referral process
• Attend community meetings with Care Managers
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed
