About The Position

- The BA Emergency Evaluator - Shift 3 at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. This role is critical in providing immediate support and determining the appropriate level of care and intervention required to stabilize clients in emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health or emergency evaluation settings.
  • Experience working in a crisis intervention role, preferably within a healthcare or community service environment.
  • Proven track record of conducting assessments and developing intervention plans for individuals in crisis.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate emergency situations and determine appropriate interventions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records and other relevant software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all professional interactions.
  • Flexibility to work shift hours, including nights and weekends, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients presenting in crisis to determine the nature and severity of their behavioral health needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement crisis intervention plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Provide immediate support and stabilization services to clients experiencing acute behavioral health issues.
  • Document client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with center policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure understanding of evaluation outcomes and recommended interventions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in crisis intervention and behavioral health care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to emergency behavioral health evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and regulatory standards in the provision of emergency behavioral health services.
