About The Position

Technician must be able to diagnose and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering suspension, braking, heating & cooling, etc. to dealership and manufacturer's standards with minimal supervision. Requirements

• Experience in auto service OR recent completion of automotive tech/trade school
• Valid driver's license
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, A/C equipment, etc.
• Must be willing to pass a background check, DMV screen, and drug screen prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Perform maintenance service including oil changes, tire work, and other needed maintenance items
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to keep up with rapidly changing technology
• Inspect vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made
