The Extrusion Technical Coordinator is responsible for assisting extrusion operators in performing job duties safely and correctly. This role involves overseeing the performance and quality of all assigned machines, including Plantex, Filteco, and/or Reiter equipment. The coordinator will administer and maintain safety policies and standards, ensure first quality for all processes, and perform required line readings to ensure correct machine set-up. Familiarity with the current schedule and preparation for product changeovers is essential. The position requires the ability to work any shift and overtime on short notice, as well as filling in for extrusion operators when necessary. The coordinator will ensure that all operators have the necessary tools and supplies, report and remove waste, and train extrusion operators on job specifics. Proficiency with computer programs such as SAP and Microsoft Office Suite is also required. The role includes completing production reports and communicating with the oncoming/outgoing shift’s Extrusion Technical Coordinator, necessitating arrival at the work center 15 minutes prior to the start of the shift.
