About the role The Distillation / Re-refinery B-Operator is responsible for carrying out routine operational requirements and maintenance related activities while complying with all environmental and safety requirements. This position requires the candidate to be flexible to shift and open to overtime.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED preferred; Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED

With adequate training, after being hired, be able to operate process equipment including but not limited to pumps, valves, filters, vessels, media change-outs, etc.
Strong attention to details with the ability to analyze abnormalities within the processes.
Team oriented with the ability to collaborate with others.
Ability to thrive on hard work and demonstrate pride in a solutions-oriented, results driven environment.
Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Candidate must have the ability to work in outdoor elements/weather.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work at heights.
Climb stairs and/or ladders and pass a Functional Strength Evaluation.
Pass a Respirator Fit Test (RFT)/Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).
Must be able to pass Safety Essentials Training through HASC.
Possess 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, or ability to pass the 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
All other required training that is Job Title specific within Reworld.

Nice To Haves

Process Tech / Instrument Tech certificate/degree preferred.
Knowledge/Hands On experience of operational requirements at a level of 3+ years in lieu of Schooling.

Responsibilities

Complete work sheets and forms clearly and consistently.
Perform sample collection from bulk containers.
Operate pumps and understand line-ups and configurations.
Assist and/or manage the offloading of incoming/outgoing products.
Assist in product tank to tank transfers.
Load and unload bulk tankers.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Perform cleanings of process equipment.
Monitor the operation of all processing equipment.
Assist and/or manage the operational performance of the equipment.
Identify and report operating anomalies to the Operations Supervisor or Maintenance Department.
Identify and operate all parts of the Distillation / RRF process unit’s parts/valves/switches/pumps/lines/tankage for both units.
Become familiar with Distillation Board operations at a level where you could run/troubleshoot the unit.
Become familiar with the Re-refinery Board operations at a level where you could run/troubleshoot the unit.
Perform other duties as assigned.
