About The Position

Transmission Works Auto Repair & Maintenance is a trusted full-service shop serving Portage and surrounding communities. We’re looking for a B-Level Automotive Technician—a key role in our team—to perform expert repairs and inspections in addition to transmission/engine diagnostics. that keep our customers safe and satisfied. Location: 3025 County Hwy CX, Portage, WI 53901 Pay: $25 – $35/hr Flat Rate + Accelerators up to $8/hr & Bi-Weekly Guarantee! Requirements

  • 3+ years as an Automotive Technician or equivalent training
  • Comfortable with transmission/engine diagnostics
  • Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections
  • Valid driver’s license & insurable driving record
  • Own your tools
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team spirit
  • Comfortable using computers and diagnostic tools

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certifications preferred (A4 Suspension & Steering, A5 Brakes, A6 Heating & AC, A7 Electrical Systems)

Responsibilities

  • Complete accurate, high-quality repairs and services on customer vehicles
  • Perform thorough inspections to identify needed repairs and services
  • Communicate with Service Advisors to update work order status
  • Occasionally interact with customers to explain vehicle conditions and answer questions
  • Assist with quality control checks and shop cleanliness
  • Promote a safe work environment and help maintain shop flow
  • Support team tasks as needed (e.g., parts runs, customer shuttles)
