About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in San Antonio, TX. Position Responsibilities: This inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner Create non-conformance records Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished Communicates deficiencies to proper persons Maintains Quality Control files Document results of all inspections Communication with government personnel

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Quality Aerospace Inspection experience
  • 3+ years of experience performing product or process inspections
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprint
  • Experience working with large aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) inspections
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.
  • Some positions may also be rotating shifts
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in either Aircraft Structures, Avionics and/or Electrical
  • B-52 and other Flight line experience/Operation Check
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing close tolerance quality measuring tools
  • A&P license
