The B-52 Configuration/Data Manager Senior position is focused on configuration control, data management, and deficiency reporting for ACAT II/III equivalent weapon system modernization programs from technology development through final disposition. This role is specifically associated with the B-52 Program at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, Ohio.

  • Manage program documentation, program records, program history, meeting minutes, action items, proposals, deviations, and waivers.
  • Prepare for and execute program technical reviews and functional and physical configuration audits.
  • Organize and operate Configuration Control Boards and Business Management Boards or their equivalents.
  • Utilize configuration status accounting databases for contractor data substantiation.
  • Prepare, review, and obtain approval of contract data requirements lists and requests for nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Numbers.
  • Understand and apply commercial, DoD 5000.02, and USAF configuration management/data management processes and policies across the weapon system lifecycle.
  • Assist in planning, execution, and participation in program design reviews, technical meetings, and working groups to provide configuration management perspectives.
  • Support analyses of the impacts of the configuration management change process on lifecycle sustainment.
  • Participate on government and industry teams to resolve program configuration management issues.
  • Develop and coordinate program configuration and data management requirements.
  • Create and maintain Engineering Data Management Plans and Engineering Data Activity Files.
  • Plan and execute Engineering Data Guidance Conferences and In-Process Reviews (IPRs) of engineering drawings.
  • Develop and review configuration control and data management relevant requirements and products.
  • Support all aspects of deficiency reporting, management, and closure across the weapon system lifecycle.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant configuration management/data management experience in government and/or private industry.
  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of experience.
  • SECRET clearance is required.
