Azure Virtual Desktop / client Engineering. Remote - Should work on CST Time Zone. The position involves managing host pools, session hosts, and application groups, with a strong knowledge of OS image creation, Nerdio automation, Azure Active Directory (AAD), ADGPO management, RBAC, and implementation of FSLOGIX profile management for multi-session AVDs. The role also requires knowledge of MSIX App attach and involves deploying, managing, and optimizing AVD infrastructure utilizing Nerdio Manager for AVD to streamline operations and enhance user experience. Responsibilities include Microsoft Intune for device compliance and application deployment, testing, and migrating Azure Virtual Desktops for Sales and Services Platform (Project) in staging and production using Nerdio. The candidate will manage offshore, onshore, and development persistent workloads and optimize through recommendations.

  • Deploy and manage AVD environments (persistent and non-persistent) using Nerdio Manager.
  • Monitor performance and usage metrics, implementing optimizations as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AVD infrastructure and user experience.
  • Utilize Nerdio Manager to automate deployment, scaling, and management tasks.
  • Manage profile management (multi-session) and ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Implement cost management strategies to optimize Azure spending for AVD.
  • Configure and manage Intune for device enrollment and compliance.
  • Configure security policies per audit requirements across AVD devices and applications.
  • Test and validate Windows App deployment on REI and Contractor and BYOD devices.
  • Work closely with IT Support Teams to resolve user issues related to AVD and Intune.
  • Provide training and support to Client Engineering Team, TIER-2, and Service Desk on AVD and Intune functionalities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of AVD configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Prepare regular reports on system performance, user feedback, and cost analysis.
  • 5 to 15 years of experience in Azure Virtual Desktop / client engineering.
  • Strong knowledge and implementation of Nerdio Manager (NME) for AVD.
  • Familiarity with Azure infrastructure services and cloud security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for Azure Automation.
  • Knowledge of AVD architecture and best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or equivalent.
  • AZ-104, AZ-140, Intune Management (Microsoft Certifications preferred).
