About The Position

The Azure Technical Lead will play a crucial role in the Fisher Investments Technology Department, focusing on mentoring and supporting a team of cloud engineers in the design, implementation, and management of Azure-based cloud infrastructure. This position involves hands-on leadership, process improvement, and the adoption of new technologies to enhance service quality and efficiency as the company aims for global growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure across platform technology areas
  • 5+ years of experience building, deploying, and managing public cloud IaaS and PaaS services
  • Experience building automated cloud infrastructure across Prod and Non-Prod environments
  • Scripting and automation of builds, workflows, and tasks
  • Linux and Microsoft Windows server administration
  • Configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) toolsets including Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef

Responsibilities

  • Guide, mentor, and manage a team of cloud engineers fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Conduct regular team meetings for architecture/design reviews, code reviews, and training sessions
  • Aid in designing and managing scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure and automation tooling
  • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Azure resources
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the Azure environment through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Manage cloud costs and optimize resource usage for cost efficiency
  • Work with solution architects to ensure developed solutions meet security controls and cloud computing best practices
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in the Azure cloud environment
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features and disseminate knowledge to the team
  • Investigate and monitor current-state cloud usage and recommend optimizations
